About Denise

Denise not only has the passion to care for others, she also has the experience. Denise has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years focusing her career solely on acute and long term care. She began her nursing career in 1991 at a local facility providing long term care for dementia residents. When the opportunity was right, Denise transitioned into acute care in a medical unit with a local hospital where she worked for 26 years.

 

Denise earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Lower Columbia College and later a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She is certified in Medical/Surgical Nursing and was an instructor for the Lower Columbia College Nursing Program from 2008-2015. In 2004, Denise began assisting with the Health Science Careers Program though the local high schools where she taught and mentored high school young adults working towards their nursing degrees.

 

Born and raised in the Longview/Kelso area, Denise has been married for 34 years and has three grown children. She loves animals and has four cats and four dogs. Denise believes that treating residents as family members is a top priority and will always put residents interests before all else.
